Høtt is a new magazine focusing on art and culture in the north of Scandinavia. The magazine is published by Arctic Arts Festival (Festspillene i Nord-Norge). The goal was to promote the cultural sector in northern Scandinavia to a wider audience, to inspire and to spark debate both within the art world and the public in general, and to document arts above the Polar Circle. Based on the idea of opening up a portfolio, we developed a visual identity and a layout for the magazine highlighting the art and artists. To give the reader an experience of entering the art world (or opening a portfolio), we developed a cover that acts as a folder and closes like a diary. The overlap also serves as an index when browsing the magazine, and as a bookmark when you put it away. It was also a pleasure for us to feature one of our favourite local artists, Bill Uminati on the cover.
