Farmhouse Saison

Another one for Bådin, this time a Belgian Saison. Back in the day, almost every farm in Norway brewed beer which they, in turn, served to their workers during harvest (they were allowed five litres each day!). The name “Prærien” (“The Prairie” in English) was a local name for an agricultural area right outside of town. “Before the war, imagine you are walking past the old brewery on your way out of town. South of Grensen the town ends and a few farms are the only buildings strewn across the vast grass plain. You have entered “Prærien”, where kids played cops and robbers, and the farmers cultivated the soil.”
