Prærien Saison

Another one for Bådin, this time a Belgian Saison. Back in the day, every farm in Norway brewed their own beer which they served to their workers during harvest (they were allowed five liters each day!). The name “Prærien” (“The Prairie” in English) was a local name for an agricultural area right outside town. “Imagine, before the war, your walking past the old brewery, on your way out of town. South of Grensen the town ends, and a few farms are the only buildings strewn across the enormous grass plain. You’ve entered “Prærien”, where kids played cowboys and Indians and the farmers cultivated the soil.”
